Sean McVay isn’t done coaching the Los Angeles Rams.

The Super Bowl-winning coach has reportedly informed his staff he plans to continue coaching the club next season, per multiple outlets. McVay was initially noncommittal in his end-of-season conference earlier this week.

The Rams just wrapped up a 5-12 regular season, the first losing campaign in McVay’s six-year tenure. He has a 60-38 record and 10-7 in the postseason since becoming the youngest head coach in NFL history.

It wasn’t even 12 months ago that L.A. won Super Bowl LVI, marking its second appearance in the title game under McVay. In the offseason, the 36-year-old coach signed an extension that’s good through the 2026 season. But after a trying 2022, McVay said he’s been considering stepping away from the profession.

“You don’t want to rush into any sort of decision,” McVay said. “There’s a lot of emotion right after the season. There’s a lot of layers to this. There’s a lot of people that it does affect that I don’t take lightly and want to be mindful of, and so I’m going to take the next couple of days to really reflect (and have) a lot of conversations with various people that will dictate and determine the decision that’s best for me, my family, the Rams and a lot of people.”

His decision, at least for now, is to keep coaching the Rams.
