El Tráfico brings out the fireworks and the festivities and this year’s matchup didn’t disappoint! Carlos Vela helped LAFC grab an early lead, thanks to an ABSURD goal in the 22nd minute. Not to be outdone, Tyler Boyd scored an outside-the-box SCREAMER in the 41st minute. With both teams being alert in the second half, Carlos Vela’s penalty finish in the 68th minute helped LAFC grab momentum of the game. Going up 2-1, Ryan Hollingshead’s towering header gave LAFC a 3-1 lead. Not giving up without a fight, Marco Delagado’s goal in the 84th minute helped to bring L.A. Galaxy within one goal l. As progressive as Galaxy were in the final minutes, it wasn’t enough as LAFC holds on to a 3-2 victory.
