One of the most popular NBA futures bets involves the Over/Under (O/U) win totals for all 30 teams.
Last season, the Sacramento Kings easily paid off for Over bettors. The Kings, projected at 32.5 wins, finished the regular season 48-34 and were the third seed in the Western Conference. Conversely, the Detroit Pistons were projected at 27.5 wins but finished 17-65, worst in the league.

This season’s O/U ranges are locked in from the high (54.5 for the Boston Celtics) to the low (24.5 for the Washington Wizards).

If you are wondering which teams to bet on, FOX Sports NBA Analyst Ric Bucher said he focuses on smaller market teams, looking for a “sneaky good wagering opportunity.”
Case in point, Bucher likes the Indiana Pacers to exceed 39.5 wins.
Rick Carlisle’s team went 35-47 last season after being projected at 23.5 wins.
“Loaded with young talent (Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin), solid vets (Myles Turner and Buddy Hield), new additions (Obi Toppin and Bruce Brown) and one of the smartest schematic coaches in the league, it’s hard not to see the Pacers flirting with a winning record,” Bucher said.
“Last morsel for thought: Carlisle’s first three years as head coach of the Detroit Pistons, he won 50, 50 and 61 games. In his first three years with the Dallas Mavericks, he won 50, 55 and 57 games. This will be his third year with the Pacers, having won 25, 35 and assuredly more than 39½ games this season. Bet on it.”
