All-Pro kick returner Keisean Nixon has agreed to a contract to return to the Green Bay Packers, a source told ESPN.
Nixon, who saw an increased role on defense this past season, repeated as The Associated Press’ All-Pro kick returner in 2023, becoming only the fourth returner to earn the designation in consecutive seasons.
He finished with a league-leading 782 yards on kickoff returns and ranked No. 2 in the league with a 28.8-yard average.
After seeing just 289 snaps in 2022, Nixon, who is 26 and will turn 27 on June 22, played 809 defensive snaps in 2023 as the nickel cornerback. He had a career-high 79 tackles this season, with 1 interception, 6 pass breakups and 3 tackles for loss.
He spent his first three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he was rarely used as a returner. Nixon signed with the Packers in 2022 on a one-year, minimum-salary contract worth just $965,000, then re-signed with Green Bay last offseason on a $4 million deal.
The Packers also re-signed backup cornerback Corey Ballentine, who appeared in 14 games last season, on Tuesday.
