Logan Ryan, who played in six conference championship games and won two Super Bowl rings as a cornerback and safety over his 11 NFL seasons, announced his retirement Tuesday.

“I am officially retiring from the NFL,” Ryan said in a video posted to X. “What a great career. What a ride it was. Beautiful journey of highs and lows, like they always are.”

The 33-year-old Ryan won two championships with the New England Patriots during his first four seasons in the league after the team selected him in the third round of the 2013 draft. He also played for the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers during his career.

After signing with the Titans, he memorably intercepted Tom Brady to clinch a 20-13 win in an AFC wild-card game on Jan. 4, 2020. The pass was the last thrown by Brady in his career with the Patriots.

He had 13 tackles in five games (two starts) last season with the 49ers.

In those 11 seasons, Ryan had 755 tackles, 19 interceptions, 13 sacks, 14 forced fumbles and 4 recoveries in 154 games played. He had one defensive touchdown, which came in his rookie season.
