2024 MLB Cy Young Award odds: Tarik Skubal new AL favorite; Wheeler remains steady

There’s a new Cy Young favorite in the MLB, and it’s Tarik Skubal.

Over the last month, the Detroit pitcher moved past Corbin Burnes to take the top spot in the AL.

MLB Power Rankings: Los Angeles Dodgers make big moves

Zach Wheeler remains the favorite to win the award in the National League.

The Philly stud opened the season with the second-highest odds to win the award in the NL at +900, but surged up the board to +230 over the last month.

Taking over the top spot in the American League is Skubal at +250.

Before the start of the season, FOX Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander named Skubal as one to watch in the AL.

“Skubal has all the elements in place for a breakout 2024. He’s a left-hander whose fastball can hit triple digits. He’s been lights out so far in spring training. His advanced metrics were off the charts last year, thanks in no small part to that incredible strikeout-to-walk ratio.”

Another name to watch on the National League side is Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow, whose odds of winning the award recently moved to +550 from +900.
