EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Chris Snee, a two-time Super Bowl champ and former All Pro guard for the New York Giants, is rejoining the organization as a scout, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Snee, who still lives in New Jersey, played his entire career for the Giants from 2004 to 2013 and was a three-time Pro Bowler from 2008 to 2010.

Snee returns to the Giants after several attempts following his playing career. He pitched being an offensive line-specific scout on several occasions, and even interviewed with general manager Joe Schoen in 2022.

In his post-playing career, Snee worked as an offensive line-specific scout for the Jacksonville Jaguars and spent the past two years as an analyst at Boston College, where he focused on personnel and scouting. He was back with BC under new coach Bill O’Brien prior to being hired by the Giants.

Specifics have not been released on Snee’s role with New York, but the Giants’ offensive line has been a struggle for years. New York allowed 85 sacks last season, 20 more than any other team.

The Giants have made a concerted effort to solidify the offensive line this offseason by signing four veteran free agents, including two expected starters in guard Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor.

Snee, 42, was drafted by the Giants in the second round in 2004 out of Boston College. He was part of a legendary draft class that included quarterback Eli Manning. The two played their entire careers together in New York.

Snee appeared in 141 games — all starts — over 10 seasons before being forced to retire in 2014 after struggling with a hip injury.
