2025 MLB Draft Odds: Anderson Now Favored To Go No. 1; Holliday Second

The 2025 MLB Draft is just around the corner, taking place on July 13-14 during MLB All-Star Week in Atlanta.

The Washington Nationals are gearing up to make the No. 1 pick, and bettors are diving into the action and wagering on which prospect will come off the board first.

Recently, the Nationals have undergone significant changes in their front office, parting ways with manager Dave Martinez and general manager Mike Rizzo after a disappointing June, in which they went 7-19.

Amid the chaos at the top, there’s a lot of speculation regarding whom the team will select with the first overall pick.

Who will the Nationals draft with the No. 1 overall pick?

Here are the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of July 7.

Number 1 Pick 2025 MLB Draft

Kade Anderson: -150 (bet $10 to win $16.67 total)
Ethan Holliday: +110 (bet $10 to win $21 total)
Any Other Player: +1700 (bet $10 to win $180 total)
Seth Hernandez: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Liam Doyle: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Aiva Arquette: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Jamie Arnold: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Billy Carlson: +7500 (bet $10 to win $760 total)
Kyson Witherspoon: +10000 (bet $10 to win $1,010 total)
Jace LaViolette: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)

Kade Anderson is currently the favorite to be drafted first, with odds sitting at -150.

Anderson, who was named the 2025 Baseball America College Pitcher of the Year, put together a remarkable season for the LSU Tigers, boasting a 12-1 record and a 3.18 ERA, along with 180 strikeouts.

While Anderson is the favorite, Ethan Holliday follows close behind at +110.

Holliday — who plays at Stillwater High School in Oklahoma — is the son of former All-Star Matt Holliday and brother of Orioles‘ second baseman Jackson Holliday.

Jackson was the No. 1 pick in 2022.

After Anderson and Holliday, there’s a sizable gap. Highly-touted high school prospect Seth Hernandez rounds out the top four at +2000.

Hernandez is the 6-foot-4, 18-year-old phenom from Corona, Ca., who is committed to Vanderbilt. In his junior year, he went 9-0 with a 0.62 ERA while hitting .352 with eight home runs and 34 RBIs, which helped the right-hander earn Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year honors.
