Patrick Mahomes & Co. found themselves with their backs against the ropes at 2–3 entering the night. K.C. ended SNF singing a different tune, however, after a statement win over the Jared Goff-led Lions.
Detroit’s top-ranked offense (34.8 PPG) was largely held in check despite being fully capable of torpedoing what appeared to be a sinking Chiefs ship. Now, the surging Chiefs have the NFL on notice heading into a favorable stretch on their schedule.
