Taylor enters Monday Night Football ranked second in rushing yards (1,443) and first in total touchdowns (18), while McCaffrey—the receiving yards leader among RBs (820)—ranks 16th (922) and fourth (14) in those areas, respectively.
Add in an intriguing quarterback battle between Brock Purdy and 44-year-old Philip Rivers, in his second game after a five-year retirement, and this game could be special. The 49ers (10-4) secured a playoff berth Sunday but still have a shot at improving their seeding by beating a scrappy 8-6 Colts team fighting to stay in the picture.
