Here’s what to know about the No. 1 pick oddsboard:
The Favorite: Currently, the clear favorite is Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, who had a dazzling season for the Hoosiers. In 2025 — including the postseason — he has passed for 3,172 yards and 36 touchdowns. Mendoza has helped lead the Hoosiers to their perfect 14-0 record, captured the Heisman trophy and has his team rolling in the postseason. After securing a first-round bye, Mendoza & Co. silenced the Tide by beating Bama 38-3 in the quarterfinal round. With all of his success this season, his odds to be the No. 1 NFL draft pick shortened to -500 from -165 over the last three weeks.
Duck at Dos: While Mendoza’s the clear favorite, Oregon QB Dante Moore has moved up the board since the beginning of November, shifting to +425 from +750. On the season, he’s passed for 3,280 yards and 28 touchdowns. Like Mendoza and his Hoosiers, Moore has helped lead his Ducks into the postseason. The Ducks got their first win of the playoffs over James Madison, then got past Texas Tech 23-0 in the quarterfinal round.
Rebel With A Cause: Trinidad Chambliss’s odds have surged and he’s now in the conversation of players who could be selected first in April’s draft. At DraftKings, before the quarterfinal games, the Ole Miss QB wasn’t even on the board. After leading the Rebs over Georgia 39-34, his No. 1 draft pick odds now sit at +2500. On the season, he’s passed for 3,660 yards and 21 touchdowns. However, recent reports note that he could return to Ole Miss if granted a waiver for his sixth year of eligibility.
