Here is what to know about the NBA title oddsboard:

The League Leaders: The Thunder’s 55-15 record is the best in the league. They are second in the NBA in defense, allowing 107.5 points per game, and OKC is the only team that has a double-digit point differential (11). San Antonio has the second-best record in the league (52-18), and the fourth-best odds to win it all. It is fourth in point differential (7.3), and like OKC, winning with defense, allowing 111.6 points per game (seventh). Lastly, Boston is now firmly second on the oddsboard, a shift that has aligned with the return of Jayson Tatum. The Celtics (46-23) are 5-1 with Tatum in the lineup, and he is averaging 20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and four assists.

La-La Leap: Don’t look now, but the Lakers are on fire. They’ve won eight in a row and 11 of 12, with wins over Houston (twice), Denver, Minnesota and the Knicks mixed in there. A week ago, L.A. was at +6500 (10th), but now it sits at +4000 (eighth). The Lakers are third in the Western Conference (45-25), and barreling toward homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Fall From Grace: Denver has spent a majority of the season second on the title oddsboard, but it has dropped to fourth over the past week, as it can’t seem to find any consistency. Consider this: After superstar center Nikola Jokić returned from a 16-game injury absence, the Nuggets (42-28) have gone 10-12 in their last 22 games. In addition, they don’t have a winning streak of more than two games since they won four in a row from Jan. 11 through Jan 17 — without Jokić. Also taking a recent tumble are the Detroit Pistons, who learned this week that they would be without star point guard Cade Cunningham for extended time, after he suffered a collapsed lung. Detroit fell from +1800 to +2500 over the past week.
