The Georgia Bulldogs captured the SEC Championship last December by defeating perennial foe Alabama.

Can the Dawgs — who went 7-1 in the SEC in 2025 — find their way back to the title game and claim the conference two years in a row?

Here are the latest odds at FanDuel Sportsbook as of Aug. 17.

Here’s what to know about the oddsboard:

The Favorites: The Dawgs and Longhorns top this board, and rightfully so. Georgia has won the last two SEC titles and has won three in the past four seasons. The Dawgs won their most recent SEC Championship in 2025, defeating Alabama 28-7. Meanwhile, Texas has a Heisman favorite in Arch Manning at quarterback. Having recently joined the conference in 2024, Texas has never won the SEC in football. However, under Steve Sarkisian, the Longhorns won the Big 12 title in 2023. Since joining the SEC, Texas has gone 13-4 in conference games, including a championship game loss to Georgia in 2024.

Lane Kiffin’s Impact: Lane Kiffin has already had a profound impact on how the SEC will look in 2026. Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU in November and now brings the nation’s No. 1-ranked transfer portal class to Baton Rouge. That class is headlined by former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, who threw for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2024 while leading the Sun Devils to a Big 12 title and College Football Playoff appearance. Meanwhile, Ole Miss promoted defensive coordinator Pete Golding to replace Kiffin and retained two of the country’s top offensive players. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was granted another year of eligibility after a breakout 2025 campaign in which he threw for 3,937 yards, 22 touchdowns and just three interceptions. The Rebels also return running back Kewan Lacy, one of the nation’s most productive backs last season. Lane Kiffin will face his old team as LSU and Ole Miss are set to meet in a highly anticipated Week 3 showdown in Oxford.
