Everybody loves a comeback story.
Last season, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow took home the Comeback Player of the Year award. As a matter of fact, he’s one of only two players ever to win the award twice.
Burrow missed the last seven games of the 2023 season after suffering a wrist injury. In his comeback campaign, he passed for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns, and both were best in the NFL.
So who takes home the hardware for the 2025-26 season? Let’s look at the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov 4.

J.J. McCarthy, QB, Vikings: +2500
What to know: J.J. McCarthy’s rookie season in 2024 ended before it even began. He underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in August of last year before ever taking a snap in the regular season. And while he’s had some injury setbacks this season, he’s shown flashes of high potential when available. In three appearances, he has 444 passing yards, four TDs through the air and two rushing touchdowns.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars: +2800
What to know: Lawrence started 10 games last season before missing the final seven games of the season after suffering a concussion in Week 10. In those 10 games, the Jags were 2-8.
