The New England Patriots are headed to Denver for next week’s AFC Championship Game after a thrilling 28-16 home win over the Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Sunday.
The Patriots’ defense forced five turnovers, including four interceptions by Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, and New England’s Drake Maye threw for three touchdowns in the win. It will be the Patriots’ first conference championship game since 2018, when they’d been to eight straight with Tom Brady on the way to his final Super Bowl win there.
Houston is now 0-7 in the division round of the NFL postseason and lost their first game in more than two months.
