The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup continues Wednesday (on FS1 and the FOX Sports app) with a matchup between Group B’s Canada and Ireland at HBF Park in Australia.
The highlight of the match came quickly in minute four when Katie McCabe hit an Olimpico to send Ireland up 1-0.
Canada’s attempts to get on the board were unsuccessful until first half stoppage time when Julia Grosso sent a fast ball straight at Ireland’s net, causing an own goal and tying the match 1-1.
Canada is the No. 7 ranked team in the world, according to FIFA, while Ireland is ranked No. 22.
