Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis left Monday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in the first quarter with a shoulder injury.

Levis dove for a first down on Tennessee’s second drive of the game and appeared to come down hard on his right throwing shoulder. Backup Mason Rudolph replaced Levis, who went into the blue medical tent and was listed as questionable to return.

Levis completed 3 of 4 passes and threw an interception on the Titans’ opening drive. The second-year quarterback has now thrown six interceptions, tied with Colts QB Anthony Richardson for the most in the NFL this season. Levis has also lost three fumbles.

Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan told ESPN sideline reporter Laura Rutledge that the team would evaluate Levis in the locker room at halftime.

“If he can play, he’ll go,” Callahan said.

When the Titans offense took the field in the third quarter, Rudolph remained at quarterback. Levis never returned.

The Titans, who entered Week 4 looking for their first win, scored on seven of Rudolph’s 11 drives. He went 9-of-17 passing for 85 yards as Tennessee beat Miami 31-12 to improve to 1-3.

Despite Rudolph’s success, Callahan said he remains committed to Levis as his starting quarterback if he’s healthy. Levis, who is suspected to have an AC joint injury, will undergo an MRI on his shoulder, according to NFL Media.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
